I am Consultant Ophthalmologist with almost 20 years of experience. My specialist interest is in Cataract Surgery, Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital disorders. This is reflected in my NHS post at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, a specialist referral centre for complex Oculoplastic care.
I operate on over 500 patients per year, which I believe is important when choosing a Surgeon, as you should ensure they are regularly performing the treatments they recommend.
I graduated from the University of Southampton and trained in Ophthalmology in the UK. My first surgical training posts were in London before I completed my higher training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. I undertook two Fellowships in Oculoplastic and Orbital disease before joining the GMC’s Specialist Register in 2012 and becoming a Consultant in 2013.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) and a full Member of both the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS) and European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS).
I am insured via the Premium Medical Protection and am recognised as a Specialist Care Provider by all major insurers including:
